Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation

Welcome from Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation Chairman

This Impact Report has been developed to give you facts, figures and insight into what the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation is doing and what effect we have in the Community. My communication will take you further inside the story.

But before I get started some of you may not be aware of our history. Our story as the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation started on June 4th, 2009. Our roots are firmly tied to the financing and building of the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, conceived and completed through the efforts of the community partnering with hospital.

Today, I can tell you that the State of the Foundation is excellent. I am so pleased with and proud of our Foundation Board of Directors for their passion and involvement. They are listed in this report. When you see them in the Community, thank them. It is they who drive the agenda; they give us substance and direction. Yes we ask the Community for donations and the response has been amazing. The really amazing part is what we achieve with the money. Our Mission encourages us to provide excellent faith-based healthcare to our Community. Our Vision tells us to be a link between the hospital and the Community. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, I can tell you that we are not only living up to those words as written, but also far exceeding them. Our Board has challenged us to accumulate the dollars, but then to turn them around and reinvest most of what we collect back into Flagler County.

We give back, whether it is for breast cancer awareness, or mammograms, or cardiac support, or diabetes programs or equipment for our rehab children, community healthcare is our goal. People are our goal. The work that we do partnering with the hospital truly saves lives. That is not a play on words – we TRULY save lives. You will read the highlights in this impact report, but when a breast cancer survivor hugs you and says “you saved my life” – it is real. When the person who has been treated in the hypothermia machine returns a week later with a thank you card – it is real.

A new favorite saying of mine is: “Get to know us because you are going to need us”. That saying is real. When the time comes, we will be there for you. So take the time to experience this report, see what we have done, imagine what we can do in the future and come join us. We will make you proud.

With sincerity and blessings,

Tony Papandrea

PS: To the people of Flagler County, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and Bunnell; Thank you, our growth and support of Florida Hospital Flagler would not be possible without you!

Tony Papandrea

Planned Giving

Community support is vital to our growth and future sustainability. You can help with cash gifts, stocks, charitable gift annuities and bequests. The Foundation honors pledges and accepts credit cards.

Planned Giving and Legacy Society

Join the Legacy Society

A great way to support our Foundation in its mission and to help the hospital with future projects is by joining the Legacy Society. There are many ways in which a Legacy Gift may be created, and when you include Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation in your estate plan you become a member of our Legacy Society.

Once you have provided for your needs and the future needs of your family, a charitable bequest for your community hospital in your planning is a great way to provide for the future disposition of your estate, and may also reap considerable current tax savings.

Members of our staff are available to work with you and your advisors during this process. FHF Foundation provides printed and online resources as well as periodic seminars on various aspects of Legacy Planning.

The FHF Foundation also has planned events where you’ll learn not only the latest tax planning strategies to protect your estate, but also useful facts about advancements in healthcare.
